Kaylee with her 5 point non-typical buck
Early this morning, Kirk got up and was getting ready for work and, like usual, set up the spotting scope to look out the front window to see if there was any deer in sight...and guess what he saw?? He saw this buck bedded down on the ridge north about a 1/2 mile from our house. He deliberated over whether he thought there was a possability that he & Kaylee could sneak up on him and finally decided to wake Kaylee up and give it a shot! And a shot is what she got!!!
It was so cool for Kody and Kim to be able to watch the entire hunt through spotting scopes set up in the front window at home! We watched Kirk and Kaylee sneek up, and get closer, and hide behind a Juniper tree, and the buck was facing their direction and didn't even see them. Kaylee set up behind the tree about 100 yds. away and poked her gun barrel through the tree branches, held her breath, and BOOM! She killed it in one shot! It never even left it's bed!

Here Kaylee is pointing to the non-typical side of the antlers....

very strange...one side has 5 points and the other has 2 large and 3 small bent and warped points.
Thanks to her wonderful father, the best hunting guide a girl could have, who does all of the work for her besides pulling the trigger!
This is her 5th animal harvested. Her hunting record is currently 2 does, 2 bucks, and one elk!
What a gal!

COOL KAYLEE!!!!!
Wow! The only animal I've ever killed was a chipmunk I ran over the other day. Wait, and I guess you could count the pet fish I owned several years back, although that one died because I forgot to feed it.
Quite impressive! I hope you guys have a big freezer!
