Kody's first buck!!!

What an exciting day for Kody!!! He shot his first buck when hunting with his Dad this morning! They got up early, in the rain, went out of John Day about a 30 minute drive to the national forest land near Bear Valley. After hiking about a mile from the truck, about a half hour after daylight, they saw a couple of does and then spotted this buck! After waiting several minutes for a good shot, Kody saw his chance... He prayed, "Help me, Lord!" and pulled the trigger! He was able to connect with the 2 point from about 70 yards! Thank the Lord, it was a down hill drag to the road. 

Kody says this is the happiest day of his life!
